A widely use opacifier in ceramic glaze formulation. Normal application for high white opacity is 1- 1.5% in glaze formulation. More effective than Zircon requiring a higher dosage. However excessive amount of Tin oxide will result in a matt surface as the glaze become more refractory and formation of pin holes in firing.
