This hexagonal 6 sided translucent silicon rubber mold to cast mini succulent planter pot in Multifilla premix mortar. A ready to use mortar with just addition of water to its cement /fine sand aggregates together with polymer additives and water retention agent enhances curing strength. Add sufficient water for a stiff mix approximate volume guide 2 to 2.5 mortar powder to 1 part water. Mix well and tamp mold while filling to compact and to avoid bubbles pin holes in casting. Leave to set for a minimum of 3 days cure strength before demolding. This avoid demolding breakages as cement cured strength peak to maximum in 30 days. Aerosol silicon release agent into mold before casting.
To demold after 3 days, peel the silicon rubber mold slowly upwards reverse folding all round. Finally pull the cavity mold out to reveal a perfect casting as pictured below. Drainage hole if required make provision with a petroleum jelly coated brass tube during casting or drill after demolding.
As finishing when pot is dried, matt seal before acrylic painting or leave as natural cement. The matt sealer brush on 2 or more coatings gives a nice dust free matt sheen finish.
