Normally used in dessicator when vacuum casting moisture sensitive polyurethane casting to minimise bubbles and pinholes. Dry floral in dessicator filled with silica gel. Keep camera lenses and moisture sensitive equipment dry from mold and fungus in a dessicator or sealed storage case. Prolong storage of dry food stuff, grains with moisture free food safe silica gel. Money currency hording and prevention from fungus and mold in a dry air tight glass jar with silica gel.
Silica gel can be dry for reuse. It changes color with moisture absorbtion. Remove packing and place silica gel in a microwave safe glass plate and microwave over several short heating duration. Stir gel in between heating till uniform original color is obtained. Do not overheat and burn gel.
