Pruning saw like all saw blades require cutting edge back top maintenance sharpening. The teeth are set alternately facing left and right. Each tooth are sharpened on three faces i.e. the cutting edge, back and tip. Ordinary flat file is not recommended and neither a mechanised diamond disc grinder . Instead a knife file is used, as its knife double bevel profile sharpens the cutting edge and back. At the same time it deepens the gullet. Clamp the saw in a vise. Follow the cutting profile angle . Lightly file a couple of strokes to renew alternate tooth sharpness. Finally touch up the tip lightly till it bits your finger as is gently run over. Remember pruning saw teeth are single beveled . Sharpen only the set profile and flatly remove it any burs on other side.
Made with T12 bearing steel. File flat end have a notch for teeth angle setting.
