A strong mortar cement : sand mix ratio 1:3 with additives for better workability with just addition of clean water. Convenient use in patch up repairs with sufficient water for the best strength requirement over time to cure. Note too much water weakens mortar strength. A 2% addition of water reducing agent adds plasticity to mortar for better flow, workability and final strength. Addition of clean aggregates converts mortar to concrete with maximum cured strength in 30 days. Clean up with water.
Multifilla premix mortar is suited for plastering and sculpting for its slow drying properties and setting for a fine crack free finish. Need no lime addition. As a molding cement with silicon rubber molds, alginate Alginmax. fiberglass mold, PVC molds with suitable release agent like soft soap, wax, silicon release aerosol, petroleum jelly or a combination for the best cast. Wood molds require dressing with Miracle gloss release wax . Demold after minimum 3 days or 7 days curing to minimise breakages with silicon mold or Alginmax mold. Intricate sculptures are best casted in multiparts molds. Casting furniture requires addition of aggregates and BRC wire mesh or reinforced bars. Hand print casting in 2D or 3 D for permanent out door or under water display. Lots of DIY home and garden decoration cast with recycled PET bottles, polystyrene foam boxes, eggs tray as casting molds. Premix mortar with colorful pebbles and sponge wash. Adding perlite aggregates to Premix mortar for light weight castings. Attractive shanghai finish when castings is demolded and damp sponged to expose the white perlite aggregates. Any drilling or hacking allow at least 7 days or more for this slow setting mortar to cure hard. Alternatively insert lubricated PVC pipe as hole in wet mortar in planting pot casting.
