Hard high carbon tool steel scriber to define panel lines in casting or removal of panel paints. Also use to cut new panel lines. Panel cuts do not have raises burs on both sides as the angle of blade leaves both sides flush to surface or with minimum burs when cutting is off centre.
The hexagonal nuts at both ends prevent tool from rolling. If dropped, cutter profile can be damaged.
