Its narrow width 11mm and HSS metal hardness with good edge holding sharpness makes an ideal scrapper for 3D prints. Narrow width is ideal to reach into restricted areas not reachable to sanding. Scrapping clean up of print lines is much faster than sanding. In woodworking scrapping result in a finer surface than sanding. Do note metal hardness and edge retention sharpness helps too. Plastic industries use to remove seam lines and cutting injection residues.
Maintenance sharpening with Swiss Istor sharpener or diamond shim. Honing with fine Japanese oil stone or with leather strop dressed with metal stropping compound. Metal stropping compound removes metal restores sharpness to this hard wearing edge retention sharpness. This blade is not a toy best kept away from children.
