For buffing and polishing leather edges. Various profile sizes to suit leather thickness. Install on to a hand drill to friction polish a damp or dyed edges with hard wearing carnauba wax. The edges to be polished are best bevelled cut and sealed with matt sealer to compact and bind the loose fibres. The end result is a smooth round burnished edge. Should a gloss finish be desired dabble on H20 covercoat varnish. H20 varnish dries clear and flexible.
As the brass burnisher is lathe cut from a single brass bar, it will turn true without any wobble.
Also used in heat burnishing with a 60W soldering gun. Warm up brass burnisher and glide along the damp leather edge until a smooth burnished surface is obtained. Application of carnauba wax at same time helps to obtain a smooth waxed edge for a professional finish. Similiar application to a round bevelled wood edge for a waxed finish.
