This Jillasan stone #555 similiar to Jillasan #777 is for fine jewellery polishing in precious metals. As an oil stone addition of a light paraffin oil helps to fine polish metal. Knife makers find no difference in performance compared to the higher cost Arkansas oil stone. Clean stone with kneadable eraser.
