Assorted colors pigment (approx. 45g +/- x 6 colors pack) + 45g TiO2 White (Titanium Dioxide) – Yellow, Blue, Brown, Black, Red and Green. These iron oxide pigments colorants will not bleed and used in soap, cement, slime or plaster casting. These oxides are commonly used to color insitu cement roof tiles, terrazzo tiles and cement castings. The color tone intensity differ in the wet state and dry. Used with white cement the casting would be more brilliant. Also use in oil paint formulation or coloring hand made paper or papier mache as earth tone. In diorama landscaping for the natural color tone. Encaustic painters mix these oxides to wax as color pigments. Not suitable use in candles as these are pigments and not dyes. Pigments can be jarmilled finer with CMC, Reotan L, glycerine, sorbitol as water colors. Blending of various color oxides for a third tone is a fun experience. Conduct R&D to determine dosages to fulfill requirement. Note in fired ceramic use the oxides colors will not be the same as the oxide. Its iron contents act as a flux and the clay body will slump if excessive amount is kneaded into the clay and high fired. Trial test strip firing is required.
For white required in color blending with the oxides, TiO2 or titanium dioxide is the correct color pigment to incorporate. This is a refined snow white pigment commonly used in acrylic or oil paint formulation. Should a beige tone is preferred, Hitox rutile is the unrefined titanium dioxide and much cheaper. Apple green on its own or blended in white is an attractive vibrant color.
