Blue Paper Steel from Japan. Tough and edge retaining. Alloyed Japanese carbon steel, martensitic, due to carbide formation somewhat tougher and more wear-resistant than white paper steel, coarser grain. Use as a core steel for its edge retention properties in knife making. Heat treatment instruction included.
