Maintenance sharpening is with a wet sharpening stone grit 1000-3000. Followed by honing on a leather strop dressed with 1 micron diamond dust. Do not use mechanised sanding belt or grind stone. As carbon steel noted for its sharpness occasional oiling with camelia oil to prevent rust particularly if not used for some time. Keep dry to store.
