UV resin is a compounded clear resin with photo initiator and other additives to set as UV resin coating. Setting is activated under UV light or in natural sunlight within minutes in thin coating. In thick casting recommended to cure layer by layer.
Applications of UV resin are encapsulation of organic or found momentoes, on leather, wood,metal, art crafts and paper. Coat fishing rods, fishing lures with glitter and glow in dark powder. To avoid loss of intricate details multiple coatings are cure layer by layer. Hand held UV lights are best used on 3D art sculptures.
Cured resin is not toxic though it might turn yellow over time. It is a convenient one part resin without the need to gauge and mix. Properly cured resin is not tacky and cure shiny. On marred items restore shine with Novus polish or fanbrush H20 covercoat gloss varnish which will not turn yellow.
Conduct R&D as UV resin can perform differently on different substracts. Store UV resin in a dark cool cuboard away from lights and heat. Use soon as light sensitive.
