Epoxy will remain clear but will eventually yellow in a couple of year as not UV resistant. General use in jewelry casting, wood stabilizing, fiberglass art, micarta, and surface protection of polystyrene foam. EpoxAcast, Tarbender, Clear Flex from Smooth-On USA are UV resistant clear resin. Tinting with So Strong translucent pigment or opaque UV resistant pigments will camouflage the subsequent yellowing of epoxy resins. This resin is for waste wood filling as river table. Additions of glow in dark powder or fine mica glitter will enhance decorative effect.
Mix 2 parts resin : 1 part catalyst by weight
Mix well with catalyst, vacuum to deair and flame torch to break surface air bubbles. Clean up with acetone. Pot life is about 3-4 hours and sufficient time for vacuum degassing or pressure castings. Setting Time: 24hours.
