Thick metal with double bevel cutter for splitting bamboo tube into 8 sections. Smallest width is 15mm and the widest is 50mm approximately. Various split widths much depends on the bamboo tube size. The 8 sectional knives blades are securely welded into a cone pattern unlike the flat surface cutter that split uneven widths not being centralised within the bamboo tube. Addition advantage is the wooden rod when struck with a mallet give the initial split penetration. Thereafter by holding both metal handles bounce the bamboo tube on a hard surface to continue splitting.
