To soften, poke holes in clay body with a screwdriver and pour sufficient water to soak overnight. Afterwhich wedge to suit requirement. suited for slab rolling, handbuilding or throwing clay. Suitable for electric or gas firing in oxidation or reduction. Color with Velvet underglaze from AMACO or any high fired cone 10 glazes with test strip trial especially home made glazes. Shrinkage: Cone 5 – 13% cone 10 – 15%
Absorbtion : Cone 5 – 7% cone 10 – 1.4%
Fired color : white in oxidation and gray in reduction. Both delicately peppered with dark grey spots.
