A liquid flexible rubber that cure transparent. Suitable for fishing bait casting as soft lures.
Stir well Plastisol in can before heating in a metal container on hot plate under low heat while stirring continuously. When the rubber turns from milky white to clear it can then be poured into bait mold. Silicon rubber molds can withstand heat. Do not overheat denoted by fumes and smell like vinyl. Colors and pearlescent pigments can be added. If you are using a metal bait mold, Plastisol is poured into the mold to be heated on a hot plate under low setting. Demold when cool.
Alternative to Plastisol for fishing lures without need for heating is Ecoflex 00- 10, 00-30 and 00-50. These silicon rubber are available in different softness and flexibility. Easy to mix in 1:1 part by volume.
