All brands of polymer clay hardens upon storage. Manufacturer recommend kneading to reconstitute the plasticiser to soften the clay. If necessary the addition of clay softener or diluent and kneading for the required project softness. Sculpey clay softener softens all brands of hard unbaked polymer clay.
Sculpey® Liquid Clay Thinner & Softener can be used for softening polymer clay and thinning Liquid Sculpey®. Just a few drops will make all the difference.
- Improves the texture of dry, crumbly clay, creating the perfect consistency. Add a few drops of this polymer clay softener into firm clay and thoroughly knead into the clay to make it soft and subtle.
- With a clay roller or pasta roller, roll in several passes, folding and rolling progressively narrowing the rollers gap width until a smooth soft sheet is obtained. If too soft add more clay clumps and reknead.
- Works great to thin out Liquid Sculpey® if it gets too thick. Simply add a few drops and gently stir.
- Twist cap for precise flow control.
