Washed dried fine sand, Perlite powder also available as molding materials in lost wax castings. Perlite and fine sand have good porosities and copy well minute model details. To bind these dry mix materials, use CMC or Tylose before misting water and mix well. Various waxes like soywax, paraffin wax, microcrystalline, beeswax can be blended to reduce shrinkages in close tolerance castings of lost wax model.
